Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work City by Choi So-Young for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,772.80). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Choi So-Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snow Covered Landscape in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 226,539.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit City von Choi So-Young für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.772,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Choi So-Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snow Covered Landscape im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 226.539,74).
