Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (The Webs Flew from Her Fists) by Chitra Ganesh. The price achieved of USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,271.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chitra Ganesh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tales Of Amnesia in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (The Webs Flew from Her Fists) von Chitra Ganesh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.271,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chitra Ganesh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tales Of Amnesia im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.097,43).
