Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Sugar and Milk by Chitra Ganesh for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,770.45). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Chitra Ganesh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tales Of Amnesia in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sugar and Milk von Chitra Ganesh für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.770,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chitra Ganesh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tales Of Amnesia im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.097,43).
