Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Forever First) by Chitra Ganesh was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,528.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chitra Ganesh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tales Of Amnesia in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Forever First) von Chitra Ganesh kam im September 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.528,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chitra Ganesh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tales Of Amnesia im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.097,43).
