Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Dear X, My Heart, (From Tales Of Amnesia) by Chitra Ganesh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,209.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chitra Ganesh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tales Of Amnesia in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,097.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dear X, My Heart, (From Tales Of Amnesia) von Chitra Ganesh zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.209,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chitra Ganesh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tales Of Amnesia im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.097,43).
