Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Yixi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-Character Poem in Running Script sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 22,076.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yixi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy in Three Styles, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 524,000.00 (€ 51,956.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yixi erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Poem in Running Script für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 22.076,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yixi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy in Three Styles beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 524.000,00 (€ 51.956,96) versteigert wurde.
