Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Yixi could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Li Xin'S Poem In Running Script changed hands for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,133.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Yixi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Three Styles in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 524,000.00 (€ 51,956.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yixi konnte im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Li Xin'S Poem In Running Script für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.133,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yixi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Three Styles im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 524.000,00 (€ 51.956,96).
