The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Chen Yixi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,847.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Chen Yixi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Three Styles in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 524,000.00 (€ 51,956.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Chen Yixi kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.847,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yixi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Three Styles im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 524.000,00 (€ 51.956,96).
