Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session, which included the work Travelling Home (Suzhou) by Chen Yifei. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 112,314.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yifei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauties on Promenade in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 83,350,000.00 (€ 9,106,362.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travelling Home (Suzhou) von Chen Yifei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 112.314,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yifei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauties on Promenade im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.350.000,00 (€ 9.106.362,47).
