A top price for Chen Yifei
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale), which included the work Beauties on Promenade by Chen Yifei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 83,350,000.00 (€ 9,106,362.47), 19% above the upper estimate. With this result, Beauties on Promenade is even the most expensive work of art by Chen Yifei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) / Contemporaries: Voices from East and West (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beauties on Promenade von Chen Yifei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 83.350.000,00 (€ 9.106.362,47) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Beauties on Promenade sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Yifei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
