Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Waiting for the Rising Moon in the Western Chamber by Chen Yifei. The price achieved of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 3,627,933.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000,000.00 – 35,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yifei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beauties on Promenade, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 83,350,000.00 (€ 9,106,362.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting for the Rising Moon in the Western Chamber von Chen Yifei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 3.627.933,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000.000,00 – 35.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yifei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beauties on Promenade beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 83.350.000,00 (€ 9.106.362,47) versteigert wurde.
