Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Yifei could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Sisters changed hands for HKD 2,268,000.00 (€ 271,786.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 2,500,000.00 – 4,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yifei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauties on Promenade in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 83,350,000.00 (€ 9,106,362.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yifei konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Sisters für HKD 2.268.000,00 (€ 271.786,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.500.000,00 – 4.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yifei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauties on Promenade im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.350.000,00 (€ 9.106.362,47).
