This artwork by Chen Shuzhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Wild Grassland Series: My Hometown sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,820.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Shuzhong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych), which sold at auction in June 2014 for CNY 849,600.00 (€ 100,040.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Shuzhong erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Wild Grassland Series: My Hometown für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.820,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Shuzhong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für CNY 849.600,00 (€ 100.040,56) versteigert wurde.
