Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Shuren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Green Orchids By The Rock sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,543.15) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Shuren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snowscape in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 152,370.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Shuren erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Green Orchids By The Rock für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.543,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Shuren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snowscape im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 152.370,31).
