Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem In Regular Script by Chen Sanli was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,453.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Sanli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,606.59).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.453,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Sanli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.606,59) versteigert wurde.
