Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Sanli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Xingshu sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,852.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Sanli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Kaishu sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,606.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Sanli erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.852,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Sanli; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.606,59).
