In December 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters, which included the work Admiring the Lotus by Chen Jialing. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,132.46), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Jialing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 330,400.00 (€ 46,978.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Admiring the Lotus von Chen Jialing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.132,46) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Jialing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 46.978,32).
