Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Jialing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Refinement sold for HKD 201,600.00 (€ 23,934.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Jialing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) sold at auction in December 2015 with the realized price of CNY 330,400.00 (€ 46,978.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Jialing erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Refinement für HKD 201.600,00 (€ 23.934,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Jialing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) im Dezember 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 46.978,32).
