In February 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Lotus by Chen Jialing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,328.10), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Jialing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 330,400.00 (€ 46,978.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus von Chen Jialing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.328,10) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Jialing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Birds (Album Of Twelve Works) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 330.400,00 (€ 46.978,32).
