Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Chen Hongshou was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,325.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,237,813.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Chen Hongshou kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.325,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.237.813,11).
