Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Running Script Calligraphic Couplet by Chen Hongshou was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,898.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,237,813.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphic Couplet von Chen Hongshou kam im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.898,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.237.813,11).
