Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Orchids by Chen Hongshou. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 66,000.00 (€ 8,457.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,237,813.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchids von Chen Hongshou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 66.000,00 (€ 8.457,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.237.813,11).
