Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Fei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Youth Series – Male sold for HKD 1,937,500.00 (€ 212,279.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 650,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Fei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Left Fist Has No Strength, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 7,210,000.00 (€ 762,152.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Fei erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Youth Series – Male für HKD 1.937.500,00 (€ 212.279,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 650.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Fei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Left Fist Has No Strength beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 7.210.000,00 (€ 762.152,70) versteigert wurde.
