In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Little Cool by Chen Fei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,129.95), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Fei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Left Fist Has No Strength in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 7,210,000.00 (€ 762,152.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Little Cool von Chen Fei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.129,95) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Fei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Left Fist Has No Strength im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.210.000,00 (€ 762.152,70).
