Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Meditating Under Pine Tree by Chen Chongguang was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 11,875.00 (€ 1,282.12), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Chongguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,286.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Meditating Under Pine Tree von Chen Chongguang wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 11.875,00 (€ 1.282,12) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Chongguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.286,34).
