Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale, which included the work River Landscape by Chen Chongguang. The price achieved of USD 1,083.75 (€ 976.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Chongguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,286.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Landscape von Chen Chongguang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.083,75 (€ 976,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Chongguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.286,34).
