Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transmitting the Classic by Chen Chongguang was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,839.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Chongguang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang, which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,286.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Transmitting the Classic von Chen Chongguang wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.839,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Chongguang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.286,34) versteigert wurde.
