Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Writing Poetry by Chen Chongguang for HKD 8,190.00 (€ 981.45). This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Chen Chongguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,286.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Writing Poetry von Chen Chongguang für HKD 8.190,00 (€ 981,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Chongguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.286,34).
