In December 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work View of a Scholar's Desk by Chen Banding. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 121,125.00 (€ 13,719.94), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Banding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sceneries Of Mount Huang in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,300,000.00 (€ 270,662.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of a Scholar's Desk von Chen Banding zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 121.125,00 (€ 13.719,94) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Banding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sceneries Of Mount Huang im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.300.000,00 (€ 270.662,29).
