The work Listening to a Stream by Chen Banding was worth HKD 239,400.00 (€ 28,694.74) to a buyer in May this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings at Christies in Cologne and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Chen Banding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sceneries Of Mount Huang in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,300,000.00 (€ 270,662.29).

Die Arbeit Listening to a Stream von Chen Banding war einem Käufer im Mai diesen Jahres HKD 239.400,00 (€ 28.694,74) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Banding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sceneries Of Mount Huang im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.300.000,00 (€ 270.662,29).
