Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Garden with figure by Charlotte Ardizzone was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 351.39). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlotte Ardizzone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers with wine glass, which sold at auction in February 2012 for USD 1,000.00 (€ 748.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Garden with figure von Charlotte Ardizzone im April 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 240,00 (€ 351,39) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlotte Ardizzone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers with wine glass beobachtet, die im Februar 2012 für USD 1.000,00 (€ 748,56) versteigert wurde.
