Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work A Well Earned Drink by Charlie Dye for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,540.91). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charlie Dye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work First One in Town in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Well Earned Drink von Charlie Dye für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.540,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charlie Dye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit First One in Town im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04).
