Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection, which included the work Longhorn Trail by Charlie Dye. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,561.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Dye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First One in Town, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
