This artwork by Charles van den Eycken achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work 'Aux Aguets' sold for EUR 11,650.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles van den Eycken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mischief in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 59,750.00 (€ 46,877.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles van den Eycken erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit 'Aux Aguets' für EUR 11.650,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles van den Eycken auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mischief im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 59.750,00 (€ 46.877,45).
