Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Fruit and game on a ledge; and A tankard with fruit on a ledge by Charles Thomas Bale for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,433.72). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charles Thomas Bale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pineapples, Grapes, Plums and Pears on a Silver Tray with a Jar on a Draped Wooden Ledge in February 2003 with an auction result of USD 7,170.00 (€ 6,651.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fruit and game on a ledge; and A tankard with fruit on a ledge von Charles Thomas Bale für GBP 998,75 (€ 1.433,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Thomas Bale auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pineapples, Grapes, Plums and Pears on a Silver Tray with a Jar on a Draped Wooden Ledge im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.170,00 (€ 6.651,82).
