Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 85,423.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Sprague Pearce - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reading By The Shore, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 298,000.00 (€ 282,143.53).
