In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Sainte Geneviève sold for USD 150,000.00 (€ 133,558.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Sprague Pearce - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reading By The Shore, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 298,000.00 (€ 282,143.53).
