However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Sheeler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Sentinels, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 2,232,500.00 (€ 1,913,024.85).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 588.500,00 (€ 519.738,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Sheeler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Sentinels beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 2.232.500,00 (€ 1.913.024,85) versteigert wurde.
