Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Tombs of the Cailiffs, Cairo (illustrated); and An Oriental bazaar, Cairo by Charles Robertson was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in May 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 750.00 (€ 934.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Robertson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Carpet Seller, Cairo in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 663,000.00 (€ 769,032.45).

Die Arbeit The Tombs of the Cailiffs, Cairo (illustrated); and An Oriental bazaar, Cairo von Charles Robertson wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 750,00 (€ 934,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Robertson erzielen.
