Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Still Life by Charles Reiffel. The price achieved of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,767.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Reiffel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Apple Barn in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 62,521.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Charles Reiffel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.767,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Reiffel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Apple Barn im August 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.500,00 (€ 62.521,56).
