Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work In Palm Canyon by Charles Reiffel. The price achieved of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,996.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Reiffel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Apple Barn, which sold at auction in August 2018 for USD 72,500.00 (€ 62,521.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Palm Canyon von Charles Reiffel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.996,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Reiffel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Apple Barn beobachtet, die im August 2018 für USD 72.500,00 (€ 62.521,56) versteigert wurde.
