Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Road to the Farm by Charles Reiffel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,645.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Reiffel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Apple Barn in August 2018 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 62,521.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Road to the Farm von Charles Reiffel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.645,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Reiffel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Apple Barn im August 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.500,00 (€ 62.521,56).
