In November 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Edge of the Lake by Charles Reiffel. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,562.50 (€ 50,112.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Charles Reiffel have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2018 the work The Apple Barn was auctioned for USD 72,500.00 (€ 62,521.56).
