This work of art by Charles Mayton could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Untitled (In An Off-White Room) changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 336.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Mayton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Shhh..." in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 7,100.93).
