Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Marion Russell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the Western Art auction, the work Will Rogers sold for USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,100.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Marion Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meat for the Tribe in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,472,000.00 (€ 1,243,033.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Marion Russell erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Western Art wurde die Arbeit Will Rogers für USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.100,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Marion Russell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meat for the Tribe im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.472.000,00 (€ 1.243.033,27).
