Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cow Men by Charles Marion Russell was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The price achieved of USD 44,800.00 (€ 41,070.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Marion Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meat for the Tribe in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,472,000.00 (€ 1,243,033.27).
