It achieved a price of USD 20,400.00 (€ 19,761.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Marion Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meat for the Tribe in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,472,000.00 (€ 1,243,033.27).

Die Arbeit Bucking Horse and Rider sight 8 1/4 x 5 in. framed 17 x 11 in. von Charles Marion Russell wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 19.761,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Marion Russell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meat for the Tribe im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.472.000,00 (€ 1.243.033,27).
