Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nature's Cattle by Charles Marion Russell was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 50,312.50 (€ 41,604.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Marion Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meat for the Tribe in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,472,000.00 (€ 1,243,033.27).
