However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles-Louis Clérisseau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interiors of a Roman basilica with figures, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 59,913.84).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.924,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles-Louis Clérisseau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interiors of a Roman basilica with figures beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 59.913,84) versteigert wurde.
