This artwork by Charles-Louis Clérisseau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction, the work View Of The Interior Of An Antique Roman Bath sold for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,314.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Charles-Louis Clérisseau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interiors of a Roman basilica with figures in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 59,913.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles-Louis Clérisseau erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit View Of The Interior Of An Antique Roman Bath für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.314,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Louis Clérisseau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interiors of a Roman basilica with figures im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 59.913,84).
